answers1: To Hell with that! I can't even read it, let alone pronounce
it. Ther's a lot of prejudice in that from of language. Keep it Simple
Sisters. Teach your babies not to study war or play war games. No
matter what their Daddies want!!!
answers2: Russell has a good quote on this: We may note one peculiar
feature of philosophy. If someone asks the question what is
mathematics, we can give him a dictionary definition, let us say the
science of number, for the sake of argument. As far as it goes this is
an uncontroversial statement... Definitions may be given in this way
of any field where a body of definite knowledge exists. But philosophy
cannot be so defined. Any definition is controversial and already
embodies a philosophic attitude. The only way to find out what
philosophy is, is to do philosophy. —Bertrand Russell, The Wisdom of
the West
answers3: Hegel's philosophy is generally perceived as being that of
Absolute Idealism: a combination of both Subjective and Objective
philosophy.. <br>
<br>
While I could probably give you enough insights to be able to fool
your teacher into believing you actually acquired the knowledge on
your own I would think the ghosts of Hagel, Kant, Rousseau and my
grandpappy would not approve. <br>
<br>
Hagel was too cool to be shortchanged by faked knowledge. <br>
<br>
I will give you one tip: Try typing in a search for 'History Of Ideas'
and see if that will help you with your shortcut to knowledge. There
is a wonderful published book called 'Dictionary of The History Of
Ideas' that may still be in print that should help you.
answers4: I'm not to familiar with the hegelian idealisms, but I'm
suggesting that you go wikipedia...unless anybody wants to answer
this?
answers5: Just ask yourself ... what good will it do to know the
answer to your question ?
answers6: Gosh what a mouthful, I haven't a clue so I can't sorry! <br>
Chill out a bit...

What are the best performing arts summer camps?
answers1: Hi -- I direct Camp Ballibay in Camptown, PA. We are a fine
and performing arts camp with programs in theater, music, and dance.
Our philosophy is individual choice (every camper has his or her own
schedule), and non-competitive. We are an intense arts environment,
but most of our campers are interested in the arts because they enjoy
them, not necessarily because they want to pursue them professionally
(although some eventually do). The camp was established in 1964 by my
parents, and I direct it now with dancer and choreographer Kristin
Fieseler. Kristin and I are both professional artists and educators,
and we hire great counselors and train them well. There are lots of
reviews of Ballibay on the web, and you can meet a lot of campers on
the camp's facebook page and ask them questions.

what are the benefits of performing arts?
answers1: It is fun.
answers2: http://www.quotationspage.com/subjects/music/ in this page
there are a lot of quotation about music..look at it! <br>
http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/authors/s/stella_adler.html in this

answers3: Social benefits <br>
<br>
There are significant social benefits to getting involved in music,
dance and drama. The most obvious benefit is that these performing
arts are now woven into the fabric of our society - an important form
of entertainment that encourages people to come together and enjoy,
discuss or participate in the arts. Getting involved yourself, or
encouraging your children to take dance classes or drama lessons will
open doors socially and will allow you or your children to make new
friends more easily, after all a key to drama and music is
communication. It will also help you to get out into your local
community, meet a varied group of people from different backgrounds,
and keep you busy in your spare time. <br>
<br>
Personal benefits <br>
<br>
There are many personal benefits to getting involved with dance and
drama, particularly for people who are shy or lack confidence, as one
of the main benefits is that performing arts boost your confidence.
Performing in front of a large, or even a small crowd can be very
daunting but during rehearsals you will grow in confidence as your
skills improve and you will be able to use this newfound confidence in
every aspect of your life. <br>
<br>
In addition, getting involved in the performing arts can also
encourage your enthusiasm to shine through. If you are lacking
enthusiasm in other parts of your life then getting involved in
something you feel passionately about will give your enthusiasm a much
needed boost and give you something to look forward to. <br>
<br>
As stated earlier, communication is a key part of what makes
performing arts a success, whether it's the actor communicating with
the audience, the director communicating with the actor or the
choreographer communicating with the dancer, their jobs will only work
together successfully if everyone communicates. Therefore getting
involved in dance and drama will certainly help to improve your
personal communication skills. <br>
<br>
There is also evidence to suggest that getting involved in music,
dance and drama can improve your intelligence levels because you learn
so many new skills, and where scripts are concerned you are likely to
learn new words and general knowledge. There are also spiritual and
psychological benefits because dancing and acting encourages
self-discipline, diligence, self-expression, calmness, and fulfilment.
<br>
<br>
So now you've heard the reasons why the performing arts are good for
you, why not check out our online directory to find a ballet class,
dance lesson, or drama group you can join. <br>

Do you think ethnic studies are vital to understanding all events in history?
answers1: Yes. Because history of a different race or culture of the
same event gives you a different perspective. <br>
<br>
I hate the kind of history taught in school were its all patriotic and
justifies its wrongs rather than examine them. <br>
<br>
At least with ethnic studies you learn things that you'll never learn
in a regular history class (well, depending on the teacher that
is...). <br>
<br>
I think it is important because it gives you the missing piece to the
puzzle to understanding an event.
answers2: In some ways yes, you have to have an understanding of the
culture of the people your learning about before you learn about how
people are in a specific situation. It also applies to specific
situation though, not in all events. It is also important to remember
to teach Ethnic Studies in a purely unbiased manor.
answers3: Yes. You dont understand the history unless you understand
the culture(s).
answers4: When learning about any specific race in history, ethnic
studies is useful because each has it's own history in how it
developed and created the society those people live in and by. <br>
<br>
However, if you haven't studied ethnic studies and you go into history
that's okay too as history as a whole is really about the people
(seeing as they created everything they live be) thus being ethnic
studies. History at some degree is ethnic studies and vise versa.
<br>
<br>
Is it vital? It depends on how your undertaking history. <br>
Yes, if you want to study history to a high intellectual level. <br>
No, if your just briefly learning about an aspect from history. <br>
<br>
In gest to what I said previously, if you want to understand history,
ethnic studies will just splice and integrate within the subject as a
whole so separating History and ethnic studies is futile as the two
are really one.

What are the two genealogies of Jesus according to the Gospels?
answers1: One genealogy follows the line throgh Joseph, His legal /
adoptive / step father. <br>
The other genealogy follows the line of Mary , who is Jesus' mother.
answers2: It's not all that easy to look up the significance of the
genealogies, if that's what you're asking. The gospels just lay them
out with no explanation. <br>
<br>
One is in Luke and the other in Matthew. Scholars I've read believe
that the Luke genealogy is that of Mary. I won't go into why as it
would take too long. The Matthew genealogy is believed to be that of
Joseph. Jesus inherited physically through the line of David via Mary,
as she was His actual biological mother. Though Joseph was not His
biological father, Jesus would still have inherited the throne of
David through him as he was His legal father. Mary's line did not
qualify Him for the throne, as it skipped one king (don't remember who
just now) whom God had cursed, and proclaimed that this man would not
be an ancestor of the Messiah.
answers3: Lol, me either but I've seen it before.
answers4: The Genealogy of St. Joseph (Gospel of St. Matthew), and the
Genealogy of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Gospel of St. Luke). St. Matthew
was a Jew so he used the ancestral linage of Christ through His step
father. The biological linage of Christ came through His mother, of
course St. Luke was a Gentile not a Jew.

answers are repeated over and over. <br>
The Family History Centers, have access to subscription sites

The problem that some many people have is that they do not want to
search records, they want to click a website and have it completed by

I have a page with real links to all of those, but you'll have to wade
through some advice and warnings first. <br>
<br>
If you didn't mention a country, and you didn't go into Yahoo! by one
of their international sub-sites, we can't tell if you are in the USA,
UK, Canada or Australia. I'm in the USA and my links are for it. <br>
<br>
If you are in the USA, <br>
AND most of your ancestors were in the USA, <br>
AND you can get to a library or FHC with census access, <br>
AND you are white <br>
Then you can get most of your ancestors who were alive in 1850 with
100 - 300 hours of research. You can only get to 1870 if you are
black, sadly. Many people stop reading here and pick another hobby.
<br>
<br>
No web site is going to tell you how your great grandparents decorated
the Christmas tree with ornaments cut from tin foil during the
depression, how Great Uncle Elmer wooed his wife with a banjo, or how
Uncle John paid his way through college in the 1960's by smuggling
herbs. Talk to your living relatives before it is too late. <br>
<br>
You won't find living people on genealogy sites. You'll have to get
back to people living in 1930 or so by talking to relatives, looking
up obituaries and so forth. <br>
<br>
Finally, not everything you read on the internet is true. You have to
be cautious and look at people's sources. Cross-check and verify.
<br>
<br>
So much for the warnings. Here is the main link. <br>

That page has links, plus tips and hints on how to use the sites, for
a dozen huge free sites. Having one link here in the answer and a
dozen links on my personal site gets around two problems. First, Y!A
limits us to 10 links in an answer. Second, if one or more of the
links are popular, I get "We're taking a breather" when I try to post
the answer. This is a bug introduced sometime in August 2008 with the
"new look". <br>
<br>
You will need the tips. Just for instance, most beginners either put
too much data into the RWWC query page, or they mistake the Ancestry
ads at the top for the query form. I used to teach a class on Internet
Genealogy at the library. I watched the mistakes beginners made. The
query forms on the sites are tricky.
answers5: Criminal Records Database: https://wikimedia.im/background-checks <br>
Public records are named so because these are records that are meant
to be obtained by public and when you say "public", it could be
anyone. Public records can be used by anyone for investigations and
other things like genealogy, verifications, and free background check.
When you say it is public, there is no need to ask permission to the
person who is named on the records or the person that you are
investigating. You also do not need to ask permission from the
government if you want to obtain such records by social security
number. All you have to do is to visit them and follow the process of
requesting the public records and then wait for the records to be
ready for pick up. Once you already have the records that you need,
you are now ready to perform a free background check.
answers6: The info you were given was MISLEADING. <br>
Here's the deal...you should stop expecting that research is SUPPOSED
to be free. There are thousands of free sites, which is gravy. Not the
standard. <br>
Public records are open to the public. That does not mean ONLINE.
Obituaries may or may not be online..for that matter, many persons
don't HAVE obits. Or, they might be on microfilm at the library in the
town where published. <br>
As I said, there are thousands of free sites. What they "cost" is your
ability to narrow down what you need. You can get Texas death
certificates from one place. Illinois death index from another place.
Findagrave.com has millions of grave entries..your person may or may
not be on there (they do not have every grave in the world). <br>
The biggest shift in your thinking is this...DEFINE THE FACT that you
want to locate. Once you know what you need, then see if it possibly
is online. If not, you still might use the internet to locate where it
is (ie address of library or newspaper). Or even google. <br>
Think of facts. NOT WEBSITES.

answers8: You've been told something that's not entirely correct.
Public records are records collected by a public (government) agency
for a public purpose. Not all are accessible and/or free to examine,
search, or retrieve. It depends on the type of record, jurisdictional
law, the era, and the agency's policy. Obituaries are not public
records. They may be in the public domain or publicly accessible
(different concepts entirely). They are only sometimes free to view
and there is no central database. <br>
<br>
Resources will vary depending on where and when your ancestor lived,
what records they left behind, and what is available for that
place/time/activity. Without knowing these things about your ancestors
it's hard for us to give you the best links for you. Not everything is
online and/or free. Do what you can online/free. Free resources can
keep you busy for a good while. From any source or sites, avoid
user-submitted trees/pedigrees except where they have sources cited,
and go to the sources. Indexes and transcriptions are better than
trees but still likely to have errors. Try to find and work with
original documents. Original document images are the least likely to
be online. <br>

The Family History Centers, have access to subscription sites

Is college dance team fun?
answers1: well i'm still n highskool on the dance team and so far its
very fun but tiresome
answers2: I love my college dance team experience. However the level
of commitment is much higher than high school was. In high school,
practices were worked in a few days a week. In college, we met all 5
weekdays for 1 hour, an extra 3 hours on Thursdays, and for 2 hours
Saturday mornings before football games. Not to mention being at the
games 2-3 hours early, performing in pep rallys, and performing as
"exhibitions" at high school marching band competitions. <br>
<br>
The hardest part for me was being a self motivator. It is up to you to
make sure you get to the gym 3 times a week, to make sure you stretch,
to make sure you've learned the 3rd field routine, etc. The captain
(and sponsor if you have one) expects you to get everything done
without being babied the whole way. If you don't, you won't perform
that week. <br>
<br>
The rewards outweigh the negatives as there is no better feeling than
a standing ovation from high school girls who hope to be in your shoes
one day. Some of my best friends are girls I met in dance team. You'll
start college already knowing many people. You'll have a sense of a
place where you belong (can be hard to find when you first come to
college). You'll travel places you've never been. You'll learn to
teach high school teams (and sometimes get paid for that). If you go
out for captain, you'll learn leadership skills as well as
communication and organization. <br>
<br>
It's hard work, but it was an experience like no other.
answers3: i'm interior the comparable situation as you're. i'm sixteen
and *oh gasp!* a hundred ninety lbs. Yeah i'm fat yet i'm over it. I
dance for a studio and a contest team i attempted out for my college
team freshman 365 days and didnt make it purely using fact of skill no
longer using fact of seems. i'm going to make it easier to comprehend
on the instant out that coaches lean greater in direction of the thin
notably females. yet this ought to in now way atop you from finding
out. only attempt out and prepare all of them incorrect. prepare them
you're a great dancer and should be on the gang. And be useful to no
longer enable others stear you away out of your targets ever! sturdy
success <3

place where you belong (can be hard to find when you first come to
college). You'll travel places you've never been. You'll learn to
teach high school teams (and sometimes get paid for that). If you go
out for captain, you'll learn leadership skills as well as
communication and organization. <br>
<br>
It's hard work, but it was an experience like no other.

why is break dancing considered dancing?
answers1: By the way it sounds you do not know the culture of bboying
(breakdancing). It's not just handstands and a$$ shaking isn't apart
of bboying @ all. People that bboy work hard in their form of art.
Please respect this style of dancing. If you tried it and actually
learned some bboy foundation you will find it to be fun. Bboys/bgirls
work HARD to get @ their level. Here is the clip that inspired me
watch it and I hope it gives you a new perspective of bboying. <br>
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNgrAhzczY0"
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNgrAhzcz...</a>
<br>
I'm not trying to come off mean but as a bboy that just started try
something before you judge it.
answers2: advantageous! for sure. a technique or the different i think
of you're even over qualified! i began out bboying (or bgirling) while
i became into 14 and it became into truly relaxing! i like it a lot.
Starter destroy strikes could be toprocks, then 3-step, 4-step, etc.
and freezes. wish I helped!
answers3: Yes, I do see your point. The issue is really one of morals
and taste. For some people the sight of scantily clad women dancing
around can be somewhat shocking. I took my 90 year old grandmother to
a ballet and she was shocked at the men in tights, She was raised in
that fashion. Break dancing is really an expression of urban life. It
represents city life- edgy and wild. There are others who would look
at irish dancing as people jumping up and down with paralyzed arms.I
personally dont care for break dancing but I understand they are just
expressing themselves, At least they stay out of trouble when they
find a creative outlet. Inner city life can be harsh.

How do you write an authors Quarry?
answers1: See the link below <br>
<br>
This book is the book that every published author I know in real life
(friends and family) recommends as the best resource out there.
answers2: The Value of a Query <br>
<br>
Queries benefit both editors and writers. Editors much prefer to
review a one-page letter than a 10-page manuscript, so queries spend
less time in the slush pile. They also enable an editor to determine,
quickly, whether you: <br>
<br>
Can write effectively <br>
Have a coherent, well-thought-out idea that fits the publication's content <br>
Have a basic grasp of grammar and spelling <br>
Have read the publication <br>
Have the credentials or expertise to write the article <br>
Are professional in your approach to writing
answers3: The word is query. Nicholas Sparks has very kindly posted an
example of one of his query letters. It should help you a lot. <br>
<a href="http://www.nicholassparks.com/WritersCorner/Query.html"
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>http://www.nicholassparks.com/WritersCor...</a>
<br>
<br>
As for children's books, expect a ton of rejections. Most publishers
arent reading children's books anymore. The market is glutted with
celebs, existing authors, reprints of classics and adult authors now
writing children's too. I know of no major publishers seeking
children's books now, and agents arent reading them because there is o
money in it for them. <br>
<br>
Not to burst your bubble, but that is the cold hard fact. Pax - C <br>
<br>
PS = a query letter with errors in it is an instant rejection.
Spelling, punctuation and grammar counts, and from your question,
yours needs a lot of work. Pax - C
answers4: Well, an author's quarry is a publisher, but I don't think
you are going to hunt one down with a cross-bow. The word you are
looking for a author's query. It means a question. What you do is
write to the publisher and outline (briefly! one page max) your story,
and ask if they would be interested in reading a sample chapter. If
they say yes, you send it. If they say no, you try another publisher.
And you always enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope with your
query (SSAE) so they can send a reply to you. <br>
Good luck

the French army. Fascinating stuff.

What is your stereotypical author?
answers1: There's no such thing as a stereotypical author, any more
than there is a stereotypical reader. Authors come in all shapes,
sizes and colors. As do readers. I'm an author, don't have highly
magnified specs and don't drink a lot of coffee. But my publisher
doesn't seem to mind - he just keeps selling my books anyway.
answers2: Like Arthur Miller (and he was married to Marilyn Monroe)!
Just kidding. Actually, I never picture an ideal author. I just
think about the specific author that wrote the book. If I don't know
how he/she looks like, I imagine them all differently according to the
types of book they wrote, the time period they came from, and the
stories I've heard about them.
answers3: Ones that look like librarians with shrill voices. I usually
picture them in outdated clothes and with lots of pets.
answers4: I imagine an author as a woman sitting at a desk or table.
Her laptop in is front of her, her hair is in a bun, and her glasses
are on. There are bags under her eyes. And of course, she is sipping
her coffee while reading the last couple of paragraphs she wrote. <br>
I wish that was me haha. :]
answers5: English teacher trying to get a novel published. <br>
<br>
Lawyer comes out of the blue with a great story.
answers6: I picture someone with glasses, messy hair- unshaved (for a
guy), messy make up for a woman... drinking coffee, or stopping for
tea, doing drugs often, or smoking a cigarette to clear their minds.
I'm not sure, I'm picturing them during the writing process, not while
they're going out... or anything.
answers7: Slim, lanky, nerdy sort of man. <br>
Ruffled plaid shirt, short brown hair, thick plastic watch <br>
Coffee, laptop and pencil behind the ear.
answers8: My stereotypical author...a woman in her mid thirties, with
light brown chin-length hair, a pen behind one ear, wearing casual
clothes and thick-rimmed glasses, sitting in front of a laptop in a
small messy room, typing away with a cup of coffee by her side. <br>
<br>
That will totally be me in twenty-some years. Minus the coffee. I
dislike coffee. <br>
<br>
♥♥
answers9: I picture an middle aged woman who wears outdated clothes
and doesn't brush her hair very well, eats a lot of junk food, doesn't
clean up after herself, stays up at night and sleeps during the day,
and lives in a hotel room in the middle of nowhere with a cat. This
picture is mostly due to the fact that I met a woman like this at an
impressionable age. Funny thing is, I'm an aspiring author who is half
finished with a book and I don't fit my vision. I am a teen girl who
goes to school and leads an ordinary life. I do fit the shy and not
very organized stereotype, though. PS> I hate coffee.
answers10: A slightly over-weight person who wears a sweatshirt, sweat
pants, and fuzzy socks, no makeup, and sits in a comfortable recliner
with their laptop in their lap and doing everything to avoid writing
their story.

answers1: They buy books from publishers. They have contracts with

Generally the distributor also has special deals with the large chains

business, really.
answers2: they buy them from publishers. But usually the publishers
have a website were you can buy their books at wholesale.

Funniest Book? Saddest Book?
answers1: archie and the bart book
answers2: I seriously need more good comics myself. The only one's
I've got is the X-men and a couple of Batmans. <br>
All I ever get to read is classics, sad books, ones I have to read for
class and the occassional fantasy novel. <br>
<br>
Try 'The incident of the dog in the Night time.' - it's really funny.
I ran out of time so I haven't finished reading it. Grrrr. <br>
<br>
Black Beauty - horse book - super sad - really good (seen the movie
but haven't read the book. <br>
<br>
Judith Clarke's books. This one had a picture of a young girl
screaming on the front cover - too sad for me. I wanted to rip it
apart at the end. <br>
<br>
Angela's Ashes - Only read the first two pages, but other people I
know have read the full thing and it's super super sad. <br>
<br>
Anyway, good luck finding that book. :)
answers3: Traditional e-book burnings have been to restrict men and
women from encountering the recommendations in them. Most men and
women agree that is flawed. If you are burning books for any other
intent, akin to to exhibit that you do not view them as having magical
energy, is a utterly specific undertaking. I take no role in some way
in this type.
