Why do girls in beauty pageants wear makeup?

and with all the lights shining on her her makeup has to be thicker
and darker than normal, otherwise she looks like a ghost. <br>

want to win. Plus it boosts confidence when you wear makeup because it

what the girl looks like (if she's all the way up front and person is
ALL the way in the back of the room), that's also a reason why people
in theatre's cake makeup on them. IF you're standing in front of them
then they obviously look relaly weird but from a distance, it looks
rather nice.
