Are Fall Garden Mums annual or perennial?

Hugo Pittari: perennial, they come back year after year and usually increase in size

Marita Stadick: Mums are perennial except in very cold area where they are treated as an annual.

Randal Deyarmond: Both, the ones you see in pots this time of year, blooming, usually will not winter over in cold climates.

Mauro Cowee: Perennial.http://www.gardenharvestsupply.com/category/perenn...

Oren Eskelsen: Depends on your "zone" on the USDA Hardiness Map. Depending on which one you look at, we're somewhere between a 4 & 5 and mums are a tender perennial here. Meaning that if you have a protected area, mulch the dickens out of them, they might make it back next year.

Augustus Sarria: They're perennials, but in colder climates it's better to dig them up and bring them indoors for the winter.http://gardening.about.com/od/maintenance/qt/Hardy...
