bathroom remodel?

Johnny Sirko: Hello. If you hire a general contractor or a bathroom remodeling place they will handle all of the scheduling for the labor on the project. They will charge a percentage for coordinating and overseeing the project. If you hire the labor individually, the plumber is usually first then tile and painting. Get multiple (at least 3) bids to do the project, check references/reviews, and make sure they are licensed and insured. You may use websites like Houzz or Home advisor to find local contractors and view their work....Show more

Tosha Tawney: Depends mainly on what, if anything, you can and are willing to do yourself, to save labor costs, and on what's available locally for such a remodel. At the one end, several hundred dollars for materials and fixtures, at the other end several thousand dollars for all contracted work. Lots will go for having a good plumber handle it, who will likely know other guys for the sheetrock, tile, and flooring, etc. Back at t! hat high end, you may also get some proper design help and some options, to really maximize the function and appeal of the finished room. Note that there's a number of things that "interact" in the build, so get things thought out and planned well, then let it roll without changes, change-orders, etc. which can dramatically kick up the bill....Show more
