can i have an epidural during labor?

can i have an epidural during labor?

answers 0:i am 27 weeks pregnant and having digetional diabete,im too scared of child birth, can i have epidural in labor in city hospital birmingham or they preferd to do not give it for some reason,i heard they dont give you if you dont scream too much,or see that you are so calm and control your pain, can any body help me about it,i never scream, cos my husband is so sesitive and seems worry when im sick or having pain, thxanswers 1:That's not true. You don't have to be screaming to get an epidural. I didn't scream and I got an epidural. The choice is up to you.answers 2:Pain relief is up to you,not the hospital. If you want an epidural, request one.You will only be turned down if A.there is no anaesthetist to come and administer it or B.you are too close to giving birth (it takes 45 minutes to set up and kick in)answers 3:That's when m! ost people have them, during labor. So, yes.answers 4:Epidurals are hideously painful. It took them 45 mins to do mine. Having a needle wriggled around in your spine is not nice. I didn't have a choice as I had a c section, but I'd have done natural labour rather than having the epidural. For myself and my friends labour havnt been as painful as we thought it would be. Also with an epidural it numbs you waist down so you have no control and dont even know when to push. Pethidine and g
