Monty Sieloff: The only time that you cannot listen to your Cd player when your on the plane is when you are taking of and landing. But that usually only last about 5 minutes.The reason cell phones and etc. are not allowed to be on is because alot of electronics these days have wireless devices in it which intereferes with some of the gear in the airplane. But nowadays alot of elcetronics have "Airplane" mode which enables it you to use it to pre-write emails, play games, listen to music etc. if its an iphone....Show more
