Lilli Kochel: First of all ... if u have consep sketches of written ideas... make a copy, then go to the post office and send them to ur address... so tat u have a date and stamped... that means ou hv the right to claim the rights on this game if anything happens... 2nd if u really think its a great game you should pay for a copyright... here in australia use to cost 10000 aus dollars just to get it... then you have more to come... ;) think about it......Show more
Michal Semple: Congrats on your idea. The first place you want to start off with is you have to create a prototype of your game. Then you have to write rules for it. Then, you must playtest your game with many other people. These people are people you should trust and that play games regularly if possible. Ask for feedback. You can make them sign a confidentiality/intellectual rights agreement before playing. You can write it yourself. You have to playtest your game many times before you can show it to you! r publisher. Just so you know, the likelihood of it ending up in Toys R Us is very slim. There are over 30,000 published games, but there are less than 200 titles at your Big Box Stores. Luckily, there is a whole hobby game market out there. You should check out boardgamegeek.com to see what else is out there. Also, go to http://www.bgdf.com. This is the board game designers forum....Show more
