Vegetarian?

Frederick Mccoach: It is a great diet and you feel so much better not eating meat, it is more healthy. Think carefully about what you are replacing in your diet and keep it balanced.I bought myself a good recipe book so that I could start to change my diet. I changed about 18 years ago from a meat diet.Good luck with the change of diet. Remember not to let anyone bully you into eating what you don't want....Show more

Garrett Detone: That is a GREAT idea! I am a 14 year old vegetarian and I love it. I have been one for about 6 months and I have never felt better. It really opens up your eyes to new, exciting, and really good foods. GO FOR IT!

Patricia Bolduc:

Kassie Kay: i think vegetarianism is a healthy lifestyle. Meat isnt the only source of protein so dont listen to all the epople who tell you it is, lol. Beanss and tofu have protein. It takes commetmint and hard work. Good Luck!

Sonya Volcko:

Margart Stimpert: List of great links:htt! p://www.amazon.com/gp/produ...http://www.amazon.com/gp/produ...http://www.atourhands.com/miscfood.html...http://www.vrg.org/index.htmhttp://www.vegfamily.com/http://www.vegparadise.com/http://vegweb.com/...Show more

Gregory Dilg: One of the major life changing decisions you willl make in your life. i did not have to think for long i just knew and it has been 5 years and i still have not touched meat!! I love it !! My stomache has never worked better in my life!!

Eliseo Luma: Vegetarians don't eat meat, but vegans don't eat meat or poultry.

Jess Grizzel: some people make fun of vegatariansso dont let it get to youits going to be a hard commitment at first like the last person saidbut if you really keep your mind to it youll do great!you can find more information about going vegatarian atwww.goveg.combest of luck with it!

Agustina Stimmel: Please dont you will not want to eat meat......anyways I was just answering 4 tha points.......

Particia Th! orton: It isn't a weight loss regime. There are fat vegetarian! s and skinny ones and every size in between, just as there are all sizes of omnivore.Over the course of my life I've been an omnivore, a vegetarian and a vegan; I've lost and gained weight as all three, depending on how healthily I was eating and how much exercise I was doing. If you're hoping just becoming a vegetarian will make you lose weight, you may be very disappointed.

Maynard Reevers: Much more heathly, I think you should do it!Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Eliseo Luma: it's very healthy and also a very peaceful feeling to not eat meat!!

Malcom Bourek: I have been vegetarian for two years or so, but lately I've been slipping.... I've been letting some meat into my diet again, most likely, because I'm tired of eating the same few things all the time, and because I'm tired of missing all the great dishes around.Even though I wouldn't consider myself one, I think of most vegetarians as hippies =)For me it was easy to begin with, but for most it's difficult.! After a while you get into the habit of saying "no" to meat, and hopefully you stick with it. It's kind of a dull diet, but it's worth it.

Von Houskeeper: As a vegetarian I think that's great. You will feel so much better not eating meat because our bodies cant digest it.Just make sure if you do that you keep up protein with tofu and lentils.Good choice and good luck....

Arden Strachn: If you have a good reason to be a vegatarian go for it. Realy it is sooo not healthy. But if you have some save to cows thing going on more power to you. I just hate it when vegatarians get all angry when people eat meat around them.

Dana Russian: I think a lot of the answers here are really ridiculous. It seems like a lot of people who don't actually understand nutrition or vegetarianism are answering your question. If you're thinking of going veg for weight loss reasons, I would definitely go for it! If you actually look at the research (and don't just rely on uneducat! ed myths like the responses you're getting here), you will see that veg! etarianism/veganism is an excellent choice for losing weight and gaining better health. For example, the rate of obesity among vegetarians is significantly lower than the general population, as is the rate of many illnesses, such as heart disease and certain types of cancer. The more time you spend researching it, the more reasons you'll find to justify vegetarianism. Good luck!...Show more

Maurice Breuning: A fruit is a seed. The fruit is the protective covering of the seeds. Fruits are usually sweet to encourage animals to eat the seeds. When animals eat the fruit, the seeds are somewhat unaffected by the digestive system, and are disbursed in the feces of the animal. This ensures that the seeds are far from the parent plants and can grow and reproduce. A vegetable is the whole plant, or part of the plant that is edible. Its not the reproductive organs or seeds of a plant, like a fruit is....Show more

Lu Snide: Go right for it mate it is the best thing but ! don't get to caught up with it and restrict yourself to much cause it might cause damage. And you should get you iron and B12 levels checked every month so they stay at a normal level

Nestor Klan: I think that is a very good idea. If you decide to do it I would go ovo-lacto first (i.e. keep eating dairy products and eggs). You could take it further and go vegan if you felt like it. I still haven't bothered!

Shandi Wedge: I've been a vegetarian for 15 years now and although I'm a couple of steps away from being a vegan I'm as healthy as a horse. I've not eaten any type of meat, poultry or fish since I was 12 and have never looked back.

Tijuana Tatsak: do it. think of all the animals you are saving.and its not that hard. just don't have meat... you can still have milk and stuff... macaroni for dinner, cereal, vege burgers, salads, theres tons of posibilities just search vegetarian recipes and youll find pizza ones delicious other ones too ... you won't even ! miss meat trust me

Oren Eskelsen: Sounds like early indications o! f an Eating Disorder, dear.

Herma Ellebrecht: Good for you! Really! I've been veg almost all my life, and I couldn't be happier with the decision. One thing you have to understand, though. It IS a healthier way of living, but there are some things that aren't available in any foods except meats. L-carnitine is an amino acid necessary for the body (helps build healthy muscle tissue, and aids in burning fat) but is naturally only found in red meat. It's not hard to find, but usually comes in a gelatin (*an animal product*) capsules. The health food store, Nature's Way, carries one in veggie capsules. B-12 is the other one scarce in veg diets. Cyanocobalamin is the vegan form of it, and is also very easy to find. Nutrition is key. Make sure you know how much protein your body needs, and make sure you're getting it all. Know what you diet may be missing, and learn how to fix it. Really, DO your research, and make sure to use reliable sources!...Show more

Stormy Beliard: NEVER! EVER!!! until I am dead. I can resign from sweets, and everything else but meat? jaime! The life is complicated enough ;-D)))

Alphonso Brake: It really depends on why you are being a vegetarian. If you are doing it for animal reasons, veganism is more like it.Vegetarians can still eat fish and seafood products. If you are doing it for weight loss purposes, just make sure to keep up the protein level you lose from not eating meat. Eat lots of peanutbutter and tuna (not together) to keep those protein levels up otherwise you'll crash.

Eli Trapeni: thts good... all the best.

Will Camus: I think it's a great idea healthwise, and ethically. I have tried several times but crave chicken so badly I've never been able to stay with it. But I admire vegitairians. But if you are a picky eater it can be hard to keep a balanced diet and get all the nutrition you need.

Pearlie Medora: You see the Fat meat eaters around U?You'll never be tha! t way again, Veggies R notorious for being leaner, healthy & live longe! r than Meateaters.Go for it, good luck!

Jeannetta Gaffigan: wonderful idea... if you do it correctly. im 16 and ever since i was able to understand the concept of meat=chickens, and pigs i was vegetarian. i struggled with weight though when i was 13 because i ate junk. it wasnt until last year i stopped eating dairy as well.the pros of being vegetarian-youre helping stop animal curelty (research factory farms-- and their treamtment of animals its terrible)youre probably goign to be healtheir and look more fit (if you do it correctly. you wont be consuming alll the steroids that are becoming more prevalent in meat products.-its not hard to not eat dairy, or eggs anymore either. with all the soy products.. things taste better and healthiercons- people may call you a hippie or tree huger. you might need to take supplements to get nutirents. drink protien shakes and go to a gnc or vitamin store and buy a vitamin for vegetairians.but you can laugh right in their face when ! they die of heart diesease and you dont.good luck. youll love boca burgers and soy milk. awww i know some pretty mean tofu recipes too....Show more

Arnulfo Seegars: thanks so much for all the answers!i got them soo quicklyoh and im doing the vegatarian thing for a weight loss thing.

Hal Palowoda: I think it is good to have a well balanced diet. That includes meats. Too much meat is really bad too, but i think a little of everything is great. The Lord made animals for Man. Not to be abused by them, just for their health.

Sharri Scalley:

Jayson Brod: It's great!! There are a lot of delicious meat substitutes available today ["meatless" burgers, etc.]. I don't miss meat at all. Like lasagna tastes great without meat...Try it!!!...Show more

Shan Lanen: so vegetarians can have dairy products, like cheese?

Angel Klym: Yeah! I go vegetarian evey so often. I just like fruits and vegetables so I don't suffer with feelings of deprivation. I als! o have trouble digesting meat. I once tried the Atkins diet (heavy on m! eat) I got sick as a dog. I flipped and went vegetarian, lost 55lbs, and didn't get sick doing it.

Cristopher Gavalis: AND YES THAT MILO DUDE IS SOO HOTT!!!

Jesse Pirieda: well i don't know about you but i didn't clime to the top of the food chain just to rabbit food

Coy Tapley: Go Ahead
