Why do people like beer?

Helen Zafar: If your uncle is often drunk, he's an alcoholic. He likes beer for very, very bad reasons.Other than alcoholics, though, like beer for different reasons. Personally, when I was 22 or so, I just started enjoying the complex bitter tastes which are inherent to it, and which happen to make it taste like piss to kids.
