Bud Espenshade: Buying a rail pass may or may not save you money compared to individual tickets. It depends on how much travel you do, what types of trains you use, and whether you have a travel plan that allows you to buy individual tickets in advance. There are often discounts available for higher speed trains and night trains for advance purchase. It's more work to buy individual tickets, but can be cheaper. Note that will the rail pass, you still have to make reservations for most high speed, international, and night trains and there will be a supplemental fee for each of those. Rosalva Steinmann: whilst we went we booked our tickets from domicile yet could not get seat assignments til closer to time and by applying the time we've been waiting to try this (there) we did not get to take a seat mutually. in case you may get seat assignments now bypass forward and do it. If not get them merely as early as they assist you to.
