There is no "single best mic".Handheld (dynamic), clip-on (omnidirectional lavaliere), shotgun (condenser), stereo... al are used for different reasons. I also have another cable that hoo! ks to the MIC jack on the Sound Card that sits in an expansion port on the motherboard of my computer.The Microphone I use is an Apex 750, sells online for $29.99. Works good on my system. I would susggest to you to get a small 6 or 8 channel mixer, that way, you can have multiple microphones or instruments hooked in and mixed for the feed to your Camcorder's or Digital Audio Recorder's MIC jack....Show more
